HARRISON, N.J. (AP) -- New York Red Bulls forward Thierry Henry left Saturday's match against the New England Revolution after straining his right hamstring.

Henry, who scored his ninth goal of the season in the seventh minute of the match, was streaking toward the goal in the 22nd minute, when tried to stop quickly.

Henry then reached for his hamstring and slid along the turf. He remained on the turf for several minutes, holding his face and punching the turf in pain.

Henry was carried off the field by the Red Bulls' training staff and headed to the locker room. He was replaced in the lineup by Victor Palsson.
