INDIANAPOLIS (AP) -- Marco Andretti has not been able to end the family's curse at Indianapolis.

Late in Sunday's race, Andretti's No. 26 car dipped below the white line and spun into the outside wall in the first turn during the Indianapolis 500.

Andretti appeared to be OK, climbing out of the cockpit.

It was the latest blow to the family that reached Victory Lane in 1969 with Mario Andretti, but has had nothing but bad luck on the Brickyard's historic 2.5-mile oval since then.

Marco Andretti had one of the fastest cars this month and was running among the leaders through most of the first half of Sunday's race. But he started losing positions after he developed a vibration in the car and later hit the wall.
